works well but has some issues, October 11, 2011 This review is from: Pentax SMC DA-L 55-300mm f/4-5.8 Telephoto Lens Kit With 2X Converter 110-600mm , Set of 3 Filters , Hood , Extended Warranty , Case , Cap Keeper , Cleaning Kit (Electronics) This package works well, but occasionally I do use the autofocus feature and the auto focus feature will not work with the teleconverter installed. This is a minor issue, but it does change my opinion of the product. Auto focus is especially critical when taking photos of moving objects. Aside from that, the lens is great and the items work well together.

I'm taking a trip to Costa Rica in February and hope to be able to utilize the telephoto capabilities to take some amazing photos. I've received everything far enough in advance in order to become familiar with the equipment and it's capabilities.
