Excellent adapter for old Nikon lenses to new Micro Four Thirds cameras, July 18, 2010 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Voigtlander Micro 4/3 Adapter for using Nikon F Lenses on Micro 4/3 Cameras (Electronics) This adapter is clearly well-made (in Japan, despite the classic German brand). As shown in my attached customer photos, the solid and well-finished construction includes machined metal lens mount and camera mount flanges: a quality feature not found on some cheaper adapters.
Lens and camera fit is slick. As soon as I got it, the first lens I mounted on my Panasonic Lumix GF1 was my old f8 500mm Reflex-Nikkor. Amazing: due to the maths of Micro Four Thirds this gives me a compact 1000mm equivalent lens. Document copying and macro work with the Micro-Nikkor await. There's a bunch of fine old lenses, disused, in black boxes in attics and garages around the world, waiting to be connected to new Micro Four Thirds cameras with this adapter. More lately I have been experimenting with the Reflex-Nikkor on my new GH2. Some test shots are attached.
The trick with this and other adapters for old lenses to Micro Four Thirds camera bodies seems to be to turn off any camera... Read more

It works perfectly.
Just as I was told, I won't be able to use auto-focus, and the camera won't 'read' the lens settings like it will for an Olympus MFT lens. But in manual mode, focusing and adjusting the shutter speed myself, it works beautifully. I tried it using a Nikon 50mm 1.4, the older model, and it not only takes gorgeous photographs with the E-P3, it also looks awesome.
The Voigtlander adapter is built like a prime Nikon lens - metal, solid and built to withstand a nuclear strike. I like that.
If you understand manual mode, and have no fear of setting the len's f-stop and focus, along with the camera's ISO, WB, and shutter speed - get this adapter. If, however, all that intimidates you, fair enough. This adapter will either sit unused, or preferably, it will allow you to push your photography to the next level, by ditching 'iAuto' and learning... Read more

I use it to mount several prime Nikkor lenses on an AF-100 Panasonic Video camera and have not had any problems. Comes on and off smoothly both on the AF100 and when separating the Nikkor lenses. Just wish it was a bit cheaper.
